Academics Key Highlights
Subjects taught at the primary school level include English, Arithmetic, General Awareness, one second language (Tamil or Hindi) and Moral Science. All languages are taught with a balanced emphasis on both the written as well as the spoken aspects. A thematic approach is designed to stimulate children through various interactive sessions and activities.
Teaching
Extensive use of teaching aids to supplement classroom teaching. Project works in class for mass participation, with an equal emphasis on developing a strong sense of individuality. Field trips and excursions make learning fun. Use of newspaper articles, quizzes, crosswords, and other learning tools enhance general awareness.
Syllabus
We have formulated syllabus for General Awareness with an emphasis on activity-based learning. The activities include the use of audio-visual aids, art, craft work, map work, experiments, field trips, projects and group discussions. These activities are followed by extensive written work.
